It's perfect in every way in our Solar Gem greenhouse. I purchased 2 of them to start - both plugged into timers that turn the mat on at 8:00 PM and off again at 9:00 AM. The heat is very even and right where it should be to promote germination, the construction quality is excellent - I have no worries about watering the flats for fear of electrical damage or shock - extremely well sealed and very heavy material in construction.
