This is such a great little heater! It really pushes out lots of heat for such a little thing, likely because it's ceramic. It is tip-proof and cold-bodied -- exactly what I need in a space heater. My bedroom is 15' x 11' and it heats the whole thing in no time flat, never getting hot on the bottom or sides. I plain love it!

Update - one year later. Heater is still "working," but my complaint about the thermostat is even stronger. The "thermostat" has evolved into an on-off switch. The heater is either always running, or not running at all. It is not possible to find the middle of the deadband, becasue it does not have one. So my room swings between too warm and too cold, as I have to control the heater manually. Fan is still what I would call too noisy.
I have reduced my rating from three to two stars. I cannot recommend that anyone buy this this heater.

My new CZ441 heater was delivered about a week ago. It has been uncommonly cold in the Northeast recently, so I wsa glad to see it and put it to use.

The sun is an excellent example of radiant heat transfer, because it transmits energy through space, releasing heat when its rays strike objects and people. Like the sun, Olympian heaters radiate heat directly to people, floors, walls and other objects without heating the air first, so warmth is felt immediately. Radiant heat is absorbed by objects and then emitted into the air to heat the surrounding area. Therefore, your Olympian heater should be oriented to direct its heat rays toward the space to be heated, much like a floodlight is positioned to illuminate a desired area.
Safe, Clean Efficient Propane
Camco Olympian Wave heaters utilize safe, clean efficient HD-5 propane gas. Heaters are designed to operate with a manifold pressure (the gas pressure downstream from the appliance controls) of 10.5" w.c. (0.38 psig). A gas supply pressure of 11" w.c. (0.40 psig) minimum is required at the heater controls. In addition, the supply line must be equipped at the cylinder with a listed low pressure LP regulator set to deliver the specified pressure. To ensure that you are getting a quality product, each Olympian Wave heater undergoes rigorous safety, performance and quality assurance testing before leaving the factory with the end goal to produce a product that delivers years of trouble-free service.

My little travel trailer came without an LP Furnace. I originally thought this would be a huge drawback and prevent me from dry camping...until I discovered the Olympian Wave 3! What a fantastic little unit! It's every bit as powerful as a forced air 12000BTU LP furnace, however it has some big advantages-- 1. it's completely silent. No loud blower motors to wake you up every time they turn on; 2. it doesn't require any battery power (an LP furnace won't run if your battery dies); 3. it's smaller, lighter, and portable than an LP furnace; and 4. With a hose and leg accessories, you can move the heater around to wherever you need it.
The only disadvantage is that there's no thermostat control-- you only have two heat settings (low and high) that stay on as long as the unit is on. But since it's more consistent radiant heat, once it warms the interior, you can maintain a consistent temp inside by just adjusting your windows or roof vent.

A great little heater. I use mine in my small travel trailer. It heats the interior well. Front grid gets hot but if it is well placed it is not a problem. Note warning about hypoxia. The heater will not produce carbon monoxide but will use up all the oxygen in an enclosed place. Follow directions for use and there will be no problem. Product is very well made and undoubtedly will provide years of trouble free service. Miserly with propane.

I used this little heater to supplement the thermostatically controlled heater in my 2002 Chalet trailer. It worked exactly as promised, delivering a consistent heat throughout the night without the noise of my regular heater. Temperatures at Lassen Park went down close to freezing in September; the Camco heater kept it comfortably in the high 50s and low 60s, which was perfect for sleeping. I didn't have to deal with the noise of the regular heater coming on in the middle of the night, waking me. I also used it earlier in the evening to maintain consistent warmth without having to turn on the regular heater as often, which made it easier to hear the movie playing on my laptop. I purchased a 5 lb LP canister to use with the heater, but found it too small to last more than 3 or 4 days. It wasn't pleasant having the heater run out of fuel in the middle of the night.
