This heating mat was just what my seed trays were looking for. It's perfect in every way in our Solar Gem greenhouse. I purchased 2 of them to start - both plugged into timers that turn the mat on at 8:00 PM and off again at 9:00 AM. The heat is very even and right where it should be to promote germination, the construction quality is excellent - I have no worries about watering the flats for fear of electrical damage or shock - extremely well sealed and very heavy material in construction. I just put 2 more of them into my cart.
For the price and quality, you cannot go wrong here.

I purchased my plant pad after starting garden plants for years without it. The difference is amazing. The seeds sprouted in fewer days and I have not lost any of the seedlings!!!! I'll purchase another for next season!!!!!

It works but I feel it doesn't generate quite enough heat, it could be just slightly warmer but it does help the plants some. Now if the weather would cooperate so I can plant them :)

Don't waste your time or money on this sorry excuse of a heater. This heater is just another Chinese made piece of crap!!! I bought mine from a local industrial supply house and took it home to try it out. It didn't work, so I took it back and got another. Before leaving the store, I made the clerk plug it in to the wall outlet to see that it worked. Everything seemed okay, so I took it home. Well, after two to three months of use it no longer works. The fan runs but the heating elements are completely out.I gently wiggled the heater and sparks came out were the heating elements exit into the right side of the interior of the case. These heaters are like most Chinese made products. They are junk when they leave the factory!! Even with a one year warranty, it is just not worth the aggravation.

My roommate has this heater. I had chance to test before i buy one. For this price, it is one of cheap heater. it has fan and thermostat working well. Fan is not that loud but NOT SILENT! You can adjust temperature and go to sleep. it shuts down its self and keep working automatically again. it has metal body.
Edit: This heater stopped working after 3 months. Well cheaply made another stuff i guess, i changed my rate 4 stars to 1 star

I've had this heater for over a year now and have had no problems with it. I think other customer complaints are because the owners fail to keep the reflector clean which is essential for proper operation. fortunately the front grille and thermostat cover are easily removable for cleaning unlike a lot of other heaters of this type available today. I also like the styling of the heater, and it feels more solidly made than comparable radiant heaters from other manufacturers. only 2 problems I noticed with this is 1: in the 1500 watt setting it will tend to overheat. they probably could have used a slightly more powerful fan. and 2: it's made in china. but otherwise I think it was well worth the money and as long as you keep the reflector wiped down (DO THIS WHEN HEATER IS UNPLUGGED!!!) it should last a long time.I also made a video review which you can watch here:
