This review is from: Dyson AM04 Hot Heater Fan - White with Silver Trim (Kitchen)
I bought my Dyson Hot heater for one simple reason, curiosity. The Dyson sounded promising and made the pitch that it was something truly new and revolutionary so I bit and got one....a white one!
At first glance the quality looked good, fit and finish were tight and it looked good on the surface.
Sitting down, I kicked back and prepared to enjoy reading the manual....that was short lived as it had lots of information on warranty and legal guck and only the most basic of operation information with absolutely no information showing specifications, no power use...no Heat output....nothing
Moving on I plugged it into the power use tester to see how much power it would consume and in return how much heat it put out at 12 inches away.
Power use was high especially considering how low the temperature it was putting out, for example of the ten temp ranges (here are three examples): Level 1: 1207 watts @ 102 degrees ambient at 12 inches...Level... Read more

I am not a huge fan of electric heaters, but my wife cannot live without them. Problem with them typically is that it is very very warm near the heater, and not so warm away from the heater. Uneven heat distribution actually makes the room less comfortable.
This heater does a better job by allowing you to split the heater into two halves. And yes, that does provide better heat distribution.
But so would having two small heaters spread out across a room. The only thing you save is the outlet.
I am not too keen on the point of it all. Perhaps it is easier to carry than two independent units for some?
It is a good heater though. Both parts are effective heaters in and of themselves.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
I unpacked my new heater with much anticipation. The two heaters stacked look more like a speaker and take up less room than the Ambia side-by-side dual heaters that sits on a base. One control on the top heater determines if the top, bottom or both will be running. There is also a thermostat setting which is supposed to allow you to set both the top and bottom independently of each other, especially useful when using them up to 9' apart. This flexibility is perfect for our cold office.
When plugging the heater in you immediately get a thermostat display, which after selecting the auto mode, can be raised or lowered. The display on the thermostat said 77. After selecting auto mode I lowered the thermostat to 70 for each heater. For some reason the display jumps back up to a higher setting - apparently what it believes is the current room temperature. The thermostat appears to be off by a number of degrees. The heater seems to work just fine in manual mode, but that... Read more

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
A perfect example of "Why didn't anyone think of this before." This attractive, compact ceramic heater has a split personality. You can take off the top part and reposition it, turning one heater into two! How many of us have huddled over a space heater that kept feet warm, but left the rest of us shivering.
If you're snuggled on the sofa and just need something to take the chill off, put the two modules together. But if you are sitting in a drafty office, shivering over a keyboard and wondering whether you should thaw out your frozen feet or rapidly stiffening fingers, now you can do both! Split the modules up. Right now, I have one of the modules keeping my toes nice and warm, while the other is on the table behind my chair, keeping my back warm.
The Ambia ACH-220 is very convenient and set up could not be more simple. The digital controls are easy to use. You can put the two modules together or use them as two individual heaters. They're designed to... Read more
