Heater works well in heating the living space with much less natural gas than using the forced air heater for the home. Initially the heater emitted a strong odor that permated the living space. It was probably the paint and metal parts burning off their new coating. It eventually disappeared and continues to heat well. I recommend this product.

I purchased this heater for my small work shop ( 10 X 12 ). The installation and gas line hook up was fast and simple. The copper line, fittings and valve cost just under $5o.oo. The building is constructued of 1 1/2 " thich aluminum and styrofoam panels and holds heat fairly well. Since the heater is non-vented I have to keep the windows open slightly due to oxygen depletion. The buzz is great but the pilot light goes out , lol. I should have gone the extra work and installed the vented unit. The pilot flame is exposed and vulnerable to blow out from even the slightest breeze but it is quick and simple to re-light. Great little heater for the money and cheap to operate.

Haven't really had a chance to test the little heater in bone chilling weather, but from what I've experienced with it in moderate to cool temps I believe it will be questionable whether or not it will be sufficient for a 300 sq.ft. room. I'm using it in a 275 sq.ft. room. I guess it depends on how much warmth one demands.
