Ambia's Two Zone Ceramic Heater provides the benefits of two heaters in one beautiful product. The two heater modules can be used combined like a traditional heater, or they can be separated to direct heat in two places. The unique tethered heater modules can be placed up to 6-feet apart-one on the floor and one on a desktop, or one on each side of a chair, or aimed at two different people. You can select heat from both modules together, or from either the left or right separately.

File this one under, "how come no one thought of this before?"It's a ceramic heater that allows you to detach the right half from the base unit (containing the controls) and deploy it up to six feet away. This means that you and a significant other can each enjoy your own separate heater when you're snuggled up on a couch or sitting at the kitchen table. Or you can have heat on your face and feet simultaneously, when you're seated at a desk. Or you can have the two heaters directing their heat at you from the left and right, enveloping you in warmth. The two halves feature fan-driven ceramic heaters with red lights that come on to show they're working. You can choose to fire up just the left half, or the right half, or both together. Note, however, that the single thermostat governs both sides. It hasn't hit full winter yet, but is has been cold and this heater did a great job of keeping me warm. I'm looking forward to using it this winter. If you're thinking of purchasing this heater, here are some things to keep in mind:The Ambia Ach-120 is not a full room heater. It's not something that will heat your entire house. It can warm up a small room, and definitely keep an individual warm if directed properly. This product comes with a detachable part, so that you can 'aim' the heat in two separate directions. You could aim it separately at two people sitting next to each other, or aim one heater at your head and one at your feet. This feature gives you a lot of placement options. But I was able to use it a few times when it got cool here and I can say it heats up nice.First off this is a ceramic type of heater. Not the fan type of infra-red. There are many pros and cons of each type. Naturally it does get a bit warm (some may say hot) in front, so if you have pets or children be careful. Whats really nice is you can detach the side so to put part on a table or around something. There is a wire, but it's not going to stretch around the room. Or you can keep it all connected and maneuver the heater up. At the time I'm writing this, there are pictures at the top of this page you can click on to see what I am saying.
